Version 1: Coming Home
Rampaging hooves thundered down the concrete roads, eyes painted with white.
Both scrawny and fat, abused and neglected, Wild and Tamed ran for the wild. Others stayed
for a while to watch the slaughter house crumble in the flames.
Some were lucky and did not have to live at this cruel place for more than a few months
others unlucky with a scrawny statue and some horses even still locked in trailers.
Some horses were to weak to escape the flames, others ran at the first chance of freedom.
Their eyes painted white and nostrils flared taking in the scents of the blood of their
friends who were not so lucky and could not have lived a few more hours, their blood mixed
with the black smoke.
People ran around trying to round up as many of the loose horses as possible, but failed.
The horses were insane, their minds only set on the exiting future set for them.
Foals and their mothers finally reunited with one another. A new life was set for these horses.
No more pain, they could eat, an enjoy life, some could be wild once more, tamed will never
forget their owners. Some may even be returned to their owners, soon the country side was filled
with whinnies of joy, Heaven Can Wait for these horses, their lives can now go on and they will
live the life of freedom peacefully with no worries.
